Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I'm addicted to running.
It may seem like a weird thing to become addicted to, but for someone who doesn't drink., doesn't smoke, has never tried drugs, and for pete's sake, doesn't even drink carbonation (except for the occasional root beer or red cream soda, I can thank my father for that addiction), running gives me a high that my body and mind crave. It truly is a form of meditation for me.
Like a true addict, I already know that although it has only been a week or so since the marathon, I am hooked. I need another race plan to get me going again. I have not quite decided what race will be next.... if I'm up for another marathon this year (say, St. George?) or if I should do a half....
Thoughts? Input? And, I'm tossing the invitation open to you.... if you want to join me on my next running quest for designer jeans, let me know! We usually do our long runs on Saturday mornings.
Here's to another amazing race! Can't wait to get training again.... yep, I'm an addict. But at least I'm not in denial.

It is crazy how addicting running is!!! I hope I'm always planning my next race.
I think you should run St. George. You would love it!! I would be if I didn't think I'd be back in SLC anytime soon.
Go for St.George with the rest of us crazies. It would be fun!
I am right there with you!! I completely understand how you feel. I say Go for St. George! The second marathon is AWESOME and St. George is beautiful!!
Look at you go girl!! What motivation..you just finished and you're geared up for another..you rock!! Hmm..I heard St. George is oh so fun! You could always train for Boston or London!
Loved ST. GEORGE marathon. GO FOR IT!!
If you guys come in August-we are SOOO in. It'd be an absolute blast of a weekend--I can see it now--pure fun! xo heather and tyson
Hey Jen, I've loved following your training (saw your story on the news) and totally know how ya feel, I've done St George twice, SL 1/2 marathon twice, and by far I think St George is the BEST! But if you don't get in as it is a lottery (you have til the 5th of this month to sign up) I've heard the Rock N' Roll Marathon in San Diego is awesome, something I'm considering myself.. hmmm Lemme know if your interested, I lost my running partner to Boston (she doesn't want to do another marathon this year)! Keep running strong! -Heather Whytock
I'm trying for St. George and you should too, but as a back up there's always Top of Utah two weeks before! Wish I lived close enough for your long runs. That would be great to have a running partner for the whole time!
