wasatch women's love your body 10k.
i ran a fun little 10k this morning, and despite the fact that i had a stomach flu, i finished. It was fun, and i should do more of these. I've been working my butt off to get my body back after having 2 kids, and I just weighed myself. I'm pre-marriage weight!!!
Hi Kera, I was doing a search on the Wasatch Woman "Love Your Body" 5K/10K and this blog came up...out of curiousity I clicked on the link and was pleasantly surprised to find a group of women who "will run for designer jeans" =) I just wanted to say that I think it's great what you girls have going on here! I also ran the 10K, but, big props to you for still running this even when you were not feeling so well the day before. I am pretty sure I remember seeing you at the race, and you were only about 10 mins behind me on the run. I have to admit that I was feeling pretty discouraged up until mile three, I think those slight inclines were killin' me, lol... Thankfully, I survived and came in at 56:14. Does this group have any more races lined up? I ran the 2008 SLC 1/2 Marathon and just signed up to run the full marathon in April 2010. This will be my very first full marathon and I couldn't be more scared and excited about it all at the same time!! Anyway, I was glad to stumble across this blog, hope you don't mind the comment. Keep on running ladies!!! :)
When you are working on improving your shape nutrition is one of the key success factors. It will also help you intensify your workouts. Most nutrients are received from food, though, in order to enhance my energy my friend advised me to try nutritional supplements. The one I've tried first was Super Army Formula by Military Grade. And this is the one I am definitely going to stay with! This product is available at amazon. It gives me incredible amount of energy and pushes me harder during my workouts. I see positive results in my endurance and strength. Now I am capable of visiting much more fitness classes than I used to.
It started with 6 friends with one goal: The 2008 Salt Lake City Marathon. With one marathon down, we're already getting ready for our next one, and we're finding other friends to join us in our running quests. This is a place for us to journal, share, and document our journey to the finish lines, where our reward will be great: a new pair of ridiculously expensive, but also ridiculously cute designer jeans, and hopefully, a new bootie to go in them, for every race. Everyone is welcome to post links, your own running tales, and comments, whether we know you or not! Just use the PG rating please, and thank you.
