My ladies are TV stars...

So, there is one sure thing that will happen when you're #1 best friends with a news reporter, and #2 in a running group with one, and that is your lovely mug will end up on the evening news. And that is exactly what happened to my wonderful running group tonight. For those of you who missed the blessed news story on KUTV, you can watch it here. I would love to hear what everyone thought. I, for one, thought the girls did a fabulous job, and I appreciate their love and understanding for my usage of Kera's underwear comment and Kristi's hospital picture. Come on girls, cut me some slack-- I was on assignment! You all looked beautiful and inspired all of our viewers. Thanks for being such great sports!

What a great story! You are such a cute reporter, Jen. It was so sad to hear about Kristi and Kimmie again. I feel like I went through this with all of you. I was so emotional watching the interviews and I feel as though I know each of you! You have all inspired me and I can't wait to meet you! I loved the part about the marathon being about the journey not just the end result. I needed that reminder.

That was so much fun to watch. It was nice seeing your faces and hearing your voices as opposed to just reading about your journey via blog. Don't get me wrong, I love the blog!
I'll be thinking about all of you Saturday. You will be so overwhelmed with joy once you cross that finish line.

Jen, what's the next race you plan on doing?

I'm thinking of doing the Disneyland Half Marathon in August. I'm a big wimp when it comes to running in the heat though. The race starts at 6am, so hopefully by the time I finish it won't be too warm. If it is, I'll probably have a PR of slowest time ever. :)
